Position: Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Description:

Preference will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Rails 2.2/Edge, Flash/Flex, and standards-based web development.

Large Adult, Gay Content/Internet Company, is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to work on a number of projects including streaming video services. If you are looking for an independent, agile team and love keeping up with the latest the Ruby community has to offer, this is the place for you.

Skill Requirements:

• Fluency in Ruby
• Test- or Behavior-Driven Development Process
• 2 years developing Ruby on Rails applications
• 2 years working in a team-based environment
• 2 years working with MySQL
• Ability to work in quick iterations with strict deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Expert-level competency in HTML/CSS
• Strong understanding of web standards
• Mac OS X
• Merb/DataMapper
• TextMate
• Version control (Git preferred)
• Rails deployment strategies (Capistrano/mongrel/mod_rails)
• AJAX experience
• Flash/Flex experience
